Hayden Tower at the Markle
In the heart of Downtown Hazleton, at Broad and Wyoming Streets, stands a grand reminder of the city’s past as well as an icon of its future. Originally constructed as the Markle Banking & Trust Company Building, later known as the Northeastern Bank Building, and today the Hayden Tower at the Markle, this structure has quite the historical legacy.

Hazleton National Bank
Completed in 1924, the Hazleton National Bank building served as the "fraternal twin" of the Hotel Altamont. The 8-story Class B office structure located at the corner of Broad and Laurel was built by Thomas, Martin & Kirkpatrick, a Philadelphia-based architecture firm known for constructing churches and academic buildings.

Hazleton Technology Center
This building dates back to the 1930's, once housing everything from local restaurants such as the Strand Restaurant and later Depho. In the 1950's the Darling Shop moved into the first floor after it's original location was destroyed in a fire was and the second floor housed Girard Loans and Trusts. The building was used as a Bingo building in the 1990's.
15 S WYOMING ST - DHD V
National Penn Annex
Completed in 1996, the present two-story building replaced what was the oldest building in downtown Hazleton located on Wyoming Street. First Federal Savings Bank purchased the structure in 1989 and demolished it to make room for an addition to their downtown headquarters (L-shaped attachment to what is now BB&T Bank).
